New Launches from Dr Idriss, CeraVe, Beauty Pie and more…

Here are the top beauty launch picks of the week from TheIndustry.beauty team.

Dr Idriss

Barrier Baste Duo, Dr Idriss

I think I own about 100 lip balms, yet I still can’t resist buying a new one whenever it hits the market – especially when the weather starts to turn and my lips begin to feel a little tight and dry.

Dr. Idriss Barrier Baste Duo is more than just a lip balm – it’s a two-step system designed to first gently exfoliate the lips, then deliver a surge of lasting moisture.

Step 1: Barrier Baste Lip Peel – The first-of-its-kind chemical exfoliator for lips, it gently smooths and hydrates using mandelic acid and gluconolactone. Step 2: Barrier Baste Lip Baste – A ceramide- and squalane-rich treatment that locks in moisture, strengthens the lip barrier, and keeps lips buttery-soft all day.

Dr Idriss explains: “I was in Jackson, Wyoming, where the air is dry AF in the dead of winter and my lips were constantly peeling no matter what I did. I had a sugar scrub with me and was about to scrub for the hundredth time when I realised: scrubbing made my lips as flaky as a croissant.

“This common occurrence and the lacklustre results of lip balms led me to start ‘Lip Basting,’ a viral routine where I would apply a chemical exfoliator and then baste my lips with a rich body cream like they were a turkey on Thanksgiving. Inspired by this hack, I wanted to create a fool-proof system strong enough to fix my flaky lips, while gentle enough for daily use and improving the lips’ skin barrier long term.”

The Barrier Baste Lip Basting Duo is available for £44.00, while the Barrier Baste Lip Peel and Barrier Baste Lip Baste are each available individually for £24.00 at www.dridriss.com.

The Cream and The Rich Cream, Augstinus Bader x Harrods

Augustinus Bader’s skincare precedes him. The brand has quietly become a cult-favourite for luxury beauty lovers across the globe, thanks to its signature TFC8 technology, which promises to transform skin from the very first application. So, when I heard about their latest collaboration, bringing two luxury icons together (Augustinus Bader and Harrods), I wasn’t remotely surprised. In fact, I can’t believe it didn’t happen sooner!

The cult-favourite creams, The Cream and The Rich Cream (each retailing for £240), have been reimagined in Harrods’ iconic green, which launched exclusively in-store and online on 8 September. It’s rare that a partnership or brand collaboration feels as natural as this one.

Limited-edition beauty drops are nothing new, but this one hits differently. There’s something inherently collectable about a product that has quietly earned its status in the skincare world, dressed in a new, luxury guise. It’s not just a cream, it’s a statement, and it’s exactly the kind of piece luxury lovers and skincare connoisseurs will want to display on their bathroom shelves.

For anyone loyal to Augustinus Bader (or curious about why everyone raves about it), this release is the perfect excuse to dive in. Let’s be honest, there’s nothing quite like the thrill of scoring something limited-edition from a brand you love.

CeraVe

Blemish Barrier Patches, CeraVe

I get through a lot of pimple patches, well not me but my teen daughter. I’ve been waiting for CeraVe to do a version as I have such trust in this brand. Some of the other patches on the market scare me a little – I blame the person who told me their child was left with a star shaped mark on their face after leaving one of the novelty ones on for too long!

Developed by dermatologists, these little patches from CeraVe contain a concentrated dose of three essential ceramides and niacinamide, that is clinically proven to reduce the appearance of blemishes in as little as three hours.

Suitable for all skin types – including the most sensitive – they are gentle, ultra-thin and safe for daily or overnight use. They blend seamlessly into all skin tones and feature a tapered edge for discreet, secure wear (even under make-up), leaving no residue upon removal. They are also great for discouraging picking, which can lead to post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation.

Available now, priced at £9 from Lookfantastic and Superdrug.

Youthbomb Extreme Retinal Triple Renewal Serum, Beauty Pie

Beauty Pie has launched its most advanced anti-ageing innovation to date: the Youthbomb Extreme Retinal Triple Renewal Serum (£82).

Developed in collaboration with a US-based, triple board-certified dermatologist, the new product is a powerful overnight treatment designed to visibly improve skin texture and enhance firmness.

This next-gen serum targets fine lines, blemishes, and pigmentation, while also working to smooth and brighten the complexion, support the skin barrier, and help extend the “youthspan” of skin cells.

“Our goal was to create the strongest retinoid available without a prescription—while still being gentle on the skin, which is no easy feat,” says Beauty Pie’s Chief Marketing Officer, Shira Feuer.

As someone who loves retinal but often reacts to harsher formulations, I’m excited to try this one!
